Shahjalal University Teachers Association Gets New Body

The favorable to Awami League board, 'Mahan Muktizuddher Chetanay Udbuddha Shikkhak Parishad', has cleared the educators' affiliation appointment of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. On Monday (March 15) at 10:30 pm in the focal theater of the University, Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Zaida Sharmin declared the political race results. The wining board stowed ten positions, including the posts of president and general secretary, out of 11 posts of the leader advisory group. Another favorable to AL instructors' board, 'Mahan Muktizuddher Chetana O Muktachinta Charchay Oikyabaddha Shikkhak Parishad', got the rest one posts of the council while supportive of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat educators' board neglected to win any situation in the surveys. Social Work office Professor Dr. Tulshi Kumar Das and Chemical Engineering and Polymer Science Associate Professor Md Mohibul Alam were chosen president and general secretary of the instructors' affiliation individually. Educator Tulsi Kumar Das was chosen president with an aggregate of 199 votes, his nearest rival Professor Md Rashed Talukder 158 votes and Professor Dr. Md Shajedul Karim ​got 65 votes. Then again, Associate Professor Md Mohibul Alam got 207 votes and was chosen general secretary and his closest opponent Associate Professor Md Ishrat Ibne Ismail got 151 votes and Professor Dr Shah Md Atiqul Haq got 67 votes. Among the victors of the political race are the VP Professor Of Political Studies Dr. Syed Ashrafur Rahman, Treasurer Associate Professor of Food Engineering and Tea Technology Dr. Animesh Sarkar, and Joint Secretary Assistant Professor of Institute of Information and Communication Technology Asif Mohammed Samir. Notwithstanding the six-part is Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. Belal Ahmed, Associate Professor of Economics Dr. Md Mahbubul Hakim, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Dr. Md Forhad Rabbi, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering Dr. Md. The image of mass beating claimed by the police did not match in the CCTV camera

A youth named Raihan Uddin Ahmed (34) died at the Bandarbazar outpost of Kotwali police station after being injured in a mass beating in a wooded area of Sylhet city, police claimed. However, no such image of mass beating was found in the closed circuit (CC) camera set up by the ward councilor in the area. The wooden house area belongs to ward 14 of Sylhet City Corporation. The entire area is covered by closed circuit (CC) cameras. These cameras are monitored in the office of Ward Councilor Nazrul Islam.
