Raihan’s Death In ‘Custody’: ASI Ashek On 5-Day Remand, Harun On Fresh Remand

A court in Sylhet has conceded a five-day remand for suspended associate sub-investigator Ashek Elahi for a situation recorded over death of Raihan Ahmed at Bandarbazar Police Outpost in Sylhet. The court passed the request after Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) delivered him before it looking for remand for him on Thursday. In any case, the court conceded a three-day new remand for suspended police constable Harun in similar case.PBI individuals on Wednesday night captured Ashek Elahi from Sylhet Police Lines. As indicated by examination, a police group, driven by Ashek, confined Raihan and welcomed him to the police station on October 10. On October 11, Raihan, 34, an inhabitant of Akharia in Sylhet city, was pounded the life out of in police guardianship, said the casualty's family. His significant other Tahmina Akter Tanni recorded a case at Kotwali Police Station the next day blaming a number for unidentified individuals. Three cops including Ashek were removed on a similar day.The case was moved to the PBI. After an essential examination, they saw some police officers as liable of injustice. After the examination, specialists said they discovered 111 injury marks on Raihan's body and two of his nails were pulled out.
